This past weekend our Canadian couple came to Las Vegas to hold their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at The Platinum Hotel. This was a rooftop wedding with a garden theme ceremony.

Photography was provided by J&J Photography-who specialize in Weddings, Portraits, and Boudoir. They did an amazing job.  More photos soon to come.

The wedding colors were Watermelon and Chocolate. Below is Fawns bouquet provided by Jason Kenneth Designs.

Mix & Match Your Table Scape

Mixing and matching components of your table scape is a great way to personalize your wedding. You can use a variation of colors, patterns, or both. An easy way to to do this is is to use different colored chargers and place-mats. You can also use different colors or styles of linen. These are a few fun ways to make your table unique.

As seen in It's A Jamie Thing "Don't be afraid to use objects that you might not be used to seeing at the table such as bags over chairs (or maybe aprons, beaded necklaces, hats), large potted plants, umbrellas, etc. Tie it up and tie it in!"

Barbie Wedding

As seen in Its A Jaime Thing Blog

"You can now party with Barbie in her brand new Barbie Suite at The Palms! Barbie is movin' on up in the world and has transferred some of her things from her Malibu home (location of Barbie's 50th Birthday Bash) to her new diggs in Vegas."

This suite, located at The Palms Resort, can serve as the perfect venue for an intimate "girly" wedding, a bridal shower, or a bachelorette party. The room features corset, lace-up chairs, a mirror made of Barbie dolls, Barbie's signiture patterns, and of course a ton of pink.

Winter Wedding Theme

I love this wedding cake for a winter wedding. The top of the cake reminds me of a Poinsettia Plant, which are often displayed during winter time. This white cake is simple but elegant.

For winter theme centerpieces these white branches with dangling crystals combined with white Stephanotis are perfect.

This white elk-horn chandelier ties the entire winter theme wedding together

Color Up Your Attire-With Shoes

A fun way to spruce up your bridal look is to match your shoes to your wedding color. If you can't find the perfect pair of bridal shoes in the color and style that you desire, you can have white bridal shoes dyed to the color of choice. Having your shoes match your bouquet or bridesmaids dress creates a bold statement. If you are looking to put a unique, nontraditional look into your attire this is a great way to achieve it! This is a great way to bring out your personality and personal style.

Bridesmaid Dress Diversity

One of my favorite bridesmaids trends allows for the bridesmaids to choose their own style of dress while sticking to the wedding party color which the bride has selected. It's great for bridesmaids to feel extremely comfortable and confident in what they are wearing-and this confidence will be reflected throughout the entire night. This is a simple solution to ensure your bridesmaids have a good time. By allowing your bridesmaids to choose their own style dress, it betters the look you want to achieve. Your bridesmaids will know what looks the most flattering on their body type. This trend is pleasant to both the eye of all your guests as well as comforting to the bridesmaids who know that they will certainly look their best.

Bridal Spectacular Booth

This past weekend we showcased our booth at the Bridal Spectacular. We used a Winter theme with a cutting edge design. Our primary color was white with pink and black accent colors. By draping crystal jewels over the branches we created an icicle effect. The white floral and linen tied the whole look together.

Along with our booth we also designed the entrance and had a donation collection center for Give.Gown. One of our lead designers, Justin Hjelm, designed the chandelier for the main entrance. We would like to thank anybody who made gown donations. Thank you Bridal Spectacular for your support.

Mission Impossible Ring Bearer

The rings appeared to be lost... Reverend Linda started to vocalize her emotions to the Best Man about responsibility, and the Bride turned to her Bridal Party and asked in a very serious voice, "is this really happening at my wedding"? Just as the guests were getting a little uncomfortable in their seats the music from Mission Impossible came on and from the back aisle stood a 5 year old little boy. He was dressed in a black pinstriped suit with a hot pink tie, black sunglasses, earpiece and a silver briefcase with the rings inside.

He played his role well and after safely delivering the rings to Reverend Linda she complimented his excellent role playing and lead him off the stage with a "Mission Complete".

If you have the opportunity to be creative with your wedding and your guests have a sense of humor don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort box. Utilize your bridal party, flower girls and ring bearers to their fullest potential! And don't forget to have fun!!!

Forget the Chocolate Fountain... Go Cereal!!!!

Looking for something different at your wedding? Tired of seeing the same chocolate fountain at every wedding? Although chocolate fountains are very delicious, why not do something a little closer to your heart. It is very rare that I would share a personal photo from my own wedding but this is the only cereal station I have ever seen at a wedding.

At the end of the night after all of our guests had eaten dinner, the cake had been cut and served we decided that we wanted our guests to have one more treat before they left for the evening. My husband, Justin, and I both love cereal. We love all types of cereal and could eat it all day long. After the cake had been cut we transformed our cake table into a custom cereal station where all of our guests could come up and serve themselves cereal and cold milk. We had cereal such as Captain Crunch, Coco Puffs, Trix, Shredded Wheat and Cinnamon Roll Cereal.

Our cereal station was a huge hit and still, one year later, people are still talking about how unique and fun our cereal station was!

Pink Pink Pink.... Go Pink!

For a long time I tried to convince myself that I did not like pink, that pink was only for little girls. Well ladies listen up - pink is HOT! Pink is the new black so don't be afraid to have a pink wedding any time of the year or any season, it's all about how you use it!

Use pink to accent flowers, decor, invitations, lighting, favors or your wedding cake. Accent a lounge with pink pillows - and if you are going to stick with one main color then choose various monochromatic tones to accent your main color.

For more ideas about how to use pink in your wedding visit our Photo Gallery!
