CLM and Cake Alchemy of NY Partner for a Unique Wedding

In October we had the opportunity to work with Lauri Duttino of Cake Alchemy, who can be seen on WE TV's Amazing Cakes. Together with her team they created two spectacular cakes for Mia and Danny's Wedding in New York City.

Detailed perfection from the inside out. Cake Alchemy creates an elegant chemistry between you and your cake. Using only the best ingredients to please the eye as well as the palate. Complemented by hand crafted decoration that is both alluring and realistic. The final masterpiece is the perfect fusion of flavors, design and atmosphere.

Their wedding cake was a satellite cake which fit the ultra modern lounge theme for their wedding. "The satellite cake was a stunning and modern representation of what wedding cakes have become. A perfect balance of something unique, vibrant while still quite delicate."

Our Bride Mia wanted to surprise her now husband, Danny, with a replica cake of an ottoman from one of his favorite furniture designers, Mackensie Childs. "The ottoman cake was a true challenge of technique and design. Representing another artist in cake form is always exciting. Mackensie Childs is a phenomenal designer and to represent the work in cake was a real treat for everyone."

NYC: 4 Days and Counting!

In four days we leave to NYC for the Wedding of Mia and Danny which will take place at the beautiful Studio 450 in Manhattan.

STUDIO 450

This crown jewel of New York City event spaces was acquired in 2006. Studio 450 is a duplex penthouse loft, which includes huge wraparound out door roof top space. This event space is located at 450 West 31st Street between 9th and 10th avenue in the new trendy Hudson Yards District of Manhattan.

The main level of this Penthouse event space is all white, including shiny white floors and huge wrap around floor to ceiling windows with amazing views and an abundance of natural light.The outside roof top space includes a glass enclosed room with hardwood floors. The event space is extremely versatile and can easily be tailored to create many different looks, including, an elegant, modern or industrial appearance.

This event location has four sides of floor to ceiling windows that provide amazing views of the Hudson River, Empire State Building and many other notable landmarks.The sunsets at this event venue are so spectacular, thus, many people plan the timeframe of their special event around the scheduled time of the sunset so that their party can be enhanced by their guests enjoying this beautiful sight as the sunsets over the gleaming Hudson River.

This special event venue has movable walls that seamlessly allow the space to be converted into a smaller event space for those seeking a more intimate New York City venue for their Manhattan parties and events.This event location is also a perfect venue for NYC corporate events and parties, Manhattan weddings and receptions, fashion shows, photo shoots, film shoots, product launches, NYC corporate meetings, Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs, holiday parties, charity events and fundraisers.

The entire event space fits up to 250 guests for a sit down catered event with dancing, and up to 300 guests for cocktail parties. The minimum recommended guest count for this venue, utilizing a selected portion of the space is 40 guests.
