Real Wedding of Alanna and David

In June of 2009 David and Alanna traveled from Ireland to get married in Las Vegas, Nevada! With 41 of their closest family and friends they were married at The Little White Wedding Chapel and their reception was at the Neiman Marcus Mariposa Restaurant.

David wanted to surprise Alanna throughout the day by presenting her with some of her "favorite" things. As the limo arrived to The Little White Wedding Chapel she was greeted and serenaded by Elvis, who later continued into the ceremony to sing to all of the guests.

Later at their wedding reception at the beautiful Mariposa Restaurant inside of Neiman Marcus he surprised her with 99 red balloons - which was stemmed from one of her favorite songs "99 Red Balloons".
Their wedding was very inimate, romantic and personal. To view more photos from their wedding please visit our Photo Gallery.

Don't Forget About the Chairs

"Chameleon Chairs LLC was formed in January 2005, and concurrently acquired an existing inventory and patent pending for the Chameleon Chair system. The opportunity to provide over 1,500 chairs for the 2005 Academy Awards ® Governors Ball was the Company's initial foray into the chair rental business. The Company does business as the "Chameleon Chair ® Collection" and manufactures and rents its propriety products. Presently, the Company offers an expansive line of chairs and barstools that can be viewed on our website at www.chameleonchair.com.

The Chameleon chair is a remarkably versatile stacking chair designed to meet the ever-changing demands of the party and special events market. It is ergonomically engineered for comfort and style. The Chameleon Chair ® Collection includes metallic and covered backs as well as seat cushions in a variety of colors, fabrics and patterns. The chairs are delivered in a custom storage and transportation dolly that efficiently transports 36 chairs and cushions.
The Company offers eight different metal back chair styles that can be used as designed or underneath a wide variety of covered backs. The metal back is first covered with a custom-made liner. Once the liner is installed a decorative cover is put on over it to give the chair a sleek, upholstered and tailored look. The Company plans to introduce new designs responsive to fashion and industry trends.

The Chameleon Chair ® Collection's transportation dolly system was designed for efficiency, providing the Company with a competitive advantage over traditional delivery methods. A crew can easily setup or teardown a 200-person party in approximately one hour.
The Company operates from a 23,000 square foot headquarters, showroom and main warehouse in Hawthorne, California (near LAX) as well as a 6,600 square foot satellite warehouse and showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, Chameleon chairs and barstools are now available nationally and through Classic Party Rentals."

Water On Your Guest Tables Can Be Fancy Too!

"Bling H2O crystal-encrusted bottled water, of Beverly Hills, is the inspiration of Kevin G. Boyd, a Hollywood writer-producer. While working on various studio lots where image is, well, everything, he noticed that you could tell a lot about a person by the bottled water he/she carried. In Hollywood it seemed as if people flaunted their bottled water like it was part of their presentation. But whether the bottles had a cool shape or came from an exotic island, Boyd felt that none truly made that defining statement. Bling H2O was fashioned to make that statement.

His mission was to offer a product with an exquisite face, to match the exquisite taste of his target customer...and at $38.00 a bottle, that target customer shops on Rodeo Drive. The product is strategically positioned to target the expanding super-luxury consumer market. It comes in limited-edition, frosted, corked, 750ml bottles (the size and shape of
wine bottles), hand-decorated with Swarovski crystals (the bottles are recyclable, the manufacturer hastens to assure, and anybody we know would keep refilling the Bling bottles from gallons of supermarket spring water).
Initially introduced to hand-selected athletes and actors, Bling H2O is now excitedly expanding it’s availability. Bling H2O has been featured at many recent celebrity events including the MTV Video Music Awards and television’s biggest event, The Emmys.

But what does it taste like?
The water comes from Stoneclear Springs, a natural spring in the middle of 120 acres of virgin forest, 60 miles west of Nashville. Stoneclear Springs water has won gold and bronze medals for Best Taste at the International Bottled Water Tasting Competition held in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. The company private labels its water for Bling H2O. So, you’re getting a quality product with your Swarovskis. Calling itself “the Cristal of bottled water,” making “an announcement like a Rolls Royce Phantom,” Bling H2O is pop culture in a bottle. At $38.00 a bottle and sprinkled with rhinestones*, it is not for everyone. But if you’re invited to lunch at Paris Hilton’s and don’t know what to bring...bring a bottle of Bling."

Mission Impossible Ring Bearer

The rings appeared to be lost... Reverend Linda started to vocalize her emotions to the Best Man about responsibility, and the Bride turned to her Bridal Party and asked in a very serious voice, "is this really happening at my wedding"? Just as the guests were getting a little uncomfortable in their seats the music from Mission Impossible came on and from the back aisle stood a 5 year old little boy. He was dressed in a black pinstriped suit with a hot pink tie, black sunglasses, earpiece and a silver briefcase with the rings inside.

He played his role well and after safely delivering the rings to Reverend Linda she complimented his excellent role playing and lead him off the stage with a "Mission Complete".

If you have the opportunity to be creative with your wedding and your guests have a sense of humor don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort box. Utilize your bridal party, flower girls and ring bearers to their fullest potential! And don't forget to have fun!!!

Forget the Chocolate Fountain... Go Cereal!!!!

Looking for something different at your wedding? Tired of seeing the same chocolate fountain at every wedding? Although chocolate fountains are very delicious, why not do something a little closer to your heart. It is very rare that I would share a personal photo from my own wedding but this is the only cereal station I have ever seen at a wedding.

At the end of the night after all of our guests had eaten dinner, the cake had been cut and served we decided that we wanted our guests to have one more treat before they left for the evening. My husband, Justin, and I both love cereal. We love all types of cereal and could eat it all day long. After the cake had been cut we transformed our cake table into a custom cereal station where all of our guests could come up and serve themselves cereal and cold milk. We had cereal such as Captain Crunch, Coco Puffs, Trix, Shredded Wheat and Cinnamon Roll Cereal.

Our cereal station was a huge hit and still, one year later, people are still talking about how unique and fun our cereal station was!

Pink Pink Pink.... Go Pink!

For a long time I tried to convince myself that I did not like pink, that pink was only for little girls. Well ladies listen up - pink is HOT! Pink is the new black so don't be afraid to have a pink wedding any time of the year or any season, it's all about how you use it!

Use pink to accent flowers, decor, invitations, lighting, favors or your wedding cake. Accent a lounge with pink pillows - and if you are going to stick with one main color then choose various monochromatic tones to accent your main color.

For more ideas about how to use pink in your wedding visit our Photo Gallery!

Make Your Head Table Stand Out - Go Tall!

We know that most brides like to be the center of attention on their wedding day, and for OBVIOUS reasons! One way to continue keeping her in "center stage" is to create a head table which not only sits in the middle of the room but is elevated.
The table you are looking at is a standard 60" round table for eight guests. We simply raised the legs so that upgraded barstools as seen in the photo by Chameleon Chairs would fit with the table.
The only thing you need to be careful of is the type of gown she is wearing. If she is wearing a very formal ballgown I would probably not suggest this table concept.

Signature Walls - Ribbon Curtain Walls

A few years ago Wedding Gown Designer Jim Hjelm ran an ad in a magazine which had a various types of ribbons hanging behind their models. The ribbons were all different colors, sizes and textures but added a simplistic touch to their backdrop.

After seeing the ad I thought that a wall created of ribbons would be beautiful behind a head table, sweet hearts table, bar, DJ booth, band or throughout the entire room. We tested out the ribbon walls (as I call them) at a spring bridal show in shades of pinks and oranges. Soon after that we created a couple ribbon walls for a couple of weddings.

I subscribe to just about every wedding magazine there is because you just never know where or who you are going to become inspired by.

Inventive Uses for your Monogram

On February 15th, 2009 we were featured on WE TV's Platinum Weddings and our client wanted to have waterfalls throughout his wedding reception. We had provided waterfalls before but they were more of a tropical feel and this particular client's style was very modern and chic. In the photo below CLM Weddings worked with another local company to create the design of a water wall with a customized monogram on it.

We also wanted to continue the theme throughout the rest of the reception without going overboard with the monograms. Terri Han of Jason Kenneth Designs created the menu cards and Mike Briggs from Ice Occasions assisted with the design of the Martini Ice Luge.

Unique Lounge Groupings - New, Fresh and Inventive

Yes we all love lounges! They are comfortable and add a very modern twist to a wedding but why not take them a step further and create a custom lounge instead of just renting furniture! Now, please don't get me wrong, I love rental furniture, but I also love the craft of creating something that I can put my stamp on.

For one of our events at Aliante Station Casino we created a unique, one of a kind seating area for guests to enjoy an intimate conversation or simply lay back and take a nap - although nobody really did that!

To view more photos from this event please visit our photo gallery! Thank you for the amazing photos Elegant Images!

"In the beginning……
In the late 1970s, when Carol Malony began importing European lingerie for her chain of retail boutiques in the Los Angeles area, she was inspired to create her own line to rival the European brands she carried. Happily, she found her own fresh designs sold alongside the European imported labels. Carol maintains her passion for super sexy and elegant lingerie launching two new collections sure to thrill: Carol Malony Signature, and Haute by Carol Malony—Carol’s elite collection!

The collections……
Carol Malony Signature was designed with a singular goal: to bring sexy, stylish, exciting lingerie with European flair to the market at a good value. It’s sexy, it’s quality, and it’s collectible—Vive la Revolution!!!!
Haute by Carol Malony is for our customer who has a taste for luxurious, high fashion lingerie. Each style is meticulously nurtured, from the selection of fine French laces to the detailed craftsmanship. Often inspired by classic French lingerie, Haute by Carol Malony is delicate and refined but with a sassy attitude which gives it a fashionable edge.

We believe in choice, we believe in embracing life without fear, we believe in being bold and unique, and we believe there is everything right about getting a little special attention. Our vision of the world is one of strong, independent women who own their femininity and sensuality, and who demand quality and inspiration everyday. We LOVE our collections. We get the “LOVE” butterflies from every item we produce. If we don’t get butterflies it’s back to the drawing board…

Vibrant Royal Tables

If you are looking to make a statement at your wedding or event with your tables and table scape's don't even think about going "big"... you need to go "Royal". Royal seating consists of a long rectangular table which seats anywhere from 16 to 100 guests. The tables are traditionally a little wider than a normal banquet table which allows for larger centerpieces.

Below are two of my favorite table scape's which we, CLM Weddings, designed for the Aliante Station Casino Grand Opening, a Bridal Show Booth (table for 6-8) and also for a Corporate Event for Toyota.
